Led Zeppelin take off at Earls Court Arena 🔥

On this day in Musical history 17th May 1975

On this day in music history Led Zeppelin began the first of five legendary sold-out nights at London’s iconic Earls Court Arena, performing to over 17,000 fans each night in what became one of the greatest live rock spectacles of the 1970s.

At the height of their powers, Zeppelin delivered a thunderous set packed with classics including "Rock And Roll", "Kashmir", "The Song Remains The Same", "No Quarter"' "Dazed And Confused", "Going To California", "Black Dog"and the anthem that defined a generation "Stairway To Heaven".

The shows were epic in every sense. Giant stage production, laser effects, marathon performances and a band completely dominating the world stage. Fans queued for hours across London just to witness the magic. Astonishingly, tickets cost only ÂŁ1 to ÂŁ2.50 unimaginable for a concert of this scale today.

By 1975, Led Zeppelin were the biggest rock band on the planet, and Earls Court became the setting for some of the most celebrated performances in rock history. The concerts would later achieve near-mythical status among fans and collectors, capturing Zeppelin at their absolute peak.

London in the 70s was alive with music history being made nightly from Soho clubs to legendary arenas like Earls Court.
