On this day 2nd November 1974

On this day in history, George Harrison became the first Beatle to embark on a solo world tour, launching his ambitious 30-date “Dark Horse Tour” with a concert in Vancouver, Canada. Backed by Indian musician Ravi Shankar and an eclectic ensemble, the tour marked Harrison’s return to the stage after years away from live performance, blending rock, soul, and Indian classical influences in a bold and unconventional show.
Join me on my Rock & Roll tour of Soho to visit the legendary recording studio where George Harrison recorded “My sweet Lord” and along with the Beatles “Hey Jude”.
